Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Nancy began her musical journey at age four, studying piano, clarinet, drama, dance, and voice at the Eastman School of Music.
Through a stellar five-decade career—including residencies at Philadelphia’s famed Jewel’s and regular appearances at The Blue Note, Birdland, The Rainbow Room, and Dizzy’s at JALC, Kelly developed her signature style and an international audience.
Her critically acclaimed albums, including Jazz Woman, Remembering Mark Murphy, B That Way, and Born to Swing, demonstrate her mastery of the jazz tradition melded with fresh, modern energy.
